Mr. Anthony Waira is a highly experienced lawyer and the driving force behind Waira Lawyers, a law firm he established. His educational journey commenced at Sepik Agriculture College in East Sepik Province, where he obtained a Certificate in Tropical Agriculture in 1989. He gained hands-on experience as a Plantation Supervisor at Kapiura Oil Palm Plantation for several years. In 1991, he transitioned to a role as the District Nutritionist in the Tambul Nebliyer Zone in the Western Highlands Province, where he continued to serve until 1998. During his tenure as a nutritionist, Mr. Waira made the decision to further his education in Agriculture, earning a Post Certificate Diploma in Tropical Agriculture from the Highlands Agriculture College in the Western Highlands Province in 1994. In 1999, he embarked on a new path, enrolling at the University of Papua New Guinea to study law. He successfully graduated with a Bachelor of Laws in 2002. Following his law degree, Mr. Waira served as a Lawyer, Principal Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary with the National Housing Corporation in Port Moresby until 2007. In 2008, he established his own law firm, Waira Lawyers, where he has since practiced law. Mr. Waira’s diverse background, extensive experience, and established reputation as a seasoned lawyer make him a valuable addition to the company.
